These photos were taken on a recent trip to the area around Morristown, Arizona. This small town is located along US 60 (Grand Avenue) heading towards Wickenburg. The goal for this trip was to find some old mine shafts or caves scattered around the area, but the road proved to be considerably more rough then we anticipated. Our group made it as far as the Crown King Trail by car, then we hiked about half a mile until we realized we were running out of daylight. Seeing this, we decided to take a shortcut back and ended up at Lake Pleasant, which conveniently met with the highway. Although we didn't find any shafts, thetrip was definitely worth it for the photos alone!
