These photographs were taken during a road trip through the Bradshaw Mountains on a visit to the small town of Crown King, Arizona. This has to be one of the more exciting road trips I've ever taken, as everything fell into place perfectly, from the timing of the trip to the wide variety of photographic subjects and breathtaking vistas of the valley below. The one lane road leading up to Crown King went up about 4000 feet and was filled with lots of bumps, countless hairpin turns and hardly any guardrails, making for a rather rough trip. Adding to that, plenty of ATVs and sandrails raced up and down the mountains, kicking up lots of dust for me to photograph. (How kind of them : )
